Battles are now live in Mebots HQ... and not just any battles. LIVE battles!

Open Battles, pick another mebot, and step into the arena for round-by-round combat. If you have fought in the Steps app, you will recognize the battle loop. Now you can get into a scrap right from HQ.

And the biggest change? The mebot on the receiving end can show up for a live match-up.

With live mode and real-time defense, someone attacking your mebot while you are in HQ triggers an incoming attack alert. You can jump into the fight and answer them while their attack is still underway.

Your mebot is under attack. Take the call.

Maybe you were minding your own business in HQ. Someone else had other plans.

An incoming attack appears as a call-style popup, with an under-attack bar to keep the trouble in view. Hit Fight Back to enter the battle against your attacker.

In the arena, a LIVE badge marks a live battle.

Power, Guard, or Trick?

You have a choice to make each round. The stance matchup works like this:

• Power beats Guard.
• Guard beats Trick.
• Trick beats Power.
• Auto picks for you.

You can pick your stance, but you do not know what the other side will pick. Think they are going with Guard? Power is the counter. Think they will choose Power instead? Trick starts looking tempting.

Bring the right artifact

Your artifacts have a part to play.

Artifact slots pair with stances, and the right pairing can boost the stance you choose. The right artifact with the right stance can turn a close fight.

So give your setup a look before you start swinging. A stance choice is not only about what might counter your opponent. It is also worth thinking about which stance your artifacts can help.

One round, everyone knows the rules..

Use Attack to play a round, or Continuous to keep the rounds rolling. 'Continuous' controls the run of attacks. Auto stance picks your stance for you. The arena keeps round history, energy lines, and your session balance in view, so you can follow what is happening as the fight develops. Prize displays and sparkles give the results their moment, too. A little arena drama is only fair.

For your first fight, take it a round at a time. Try a stance, check the result, and get a feel for your artifacts. Then remember that the next mebot you attack might be in HQ, looking at an incoming alert with your name on it.
