Last time, we left with a warning that leaving your habitats unattended for too long may have consequences...
A habitat is no longer just a marker you claimed once and forgot.
If a habitat is unvisited for more than a month it become abandoned. When that happens, another player who is nearby (IRL) can challenge it to try to take the deed.
The map notices who still shows up.
This is not a normal raid.
A raid leaves an orange scar and lets you loot a little from someone else's ground. A takeover is bigger. It is about who owns the habitat after the fight.
Patrol what you want to keep.
You do not need to guard everything every second. But if there is a habitat you don't want to see go, visit it and refresh its protection. Virtual visits count too - all you have to do is send your Mebot on a patrol. Collecting energy from habitats counts too.
Even once the attack starts on your abandoned habitat but you patrol it in time, the attacker gets blocked...
A fresh patrol says: somebody is home.
Open 3D map and look for abandoned marked habitats, or open /map and turn on "Hunt" mode.
When you are near an abandoned habitat, the map will surface it as a takeover candidate. If you have enough sparkles and you win the clash, you take over that habitat.
Your habitats can be protected, pressured, raided, watched, and now, if they are abandoned, taken over.
So pick your ground.
Patrol what you want to keep.
Then go see what the rest of the city forgot...
Next up: the orange smoke may not just mark trouble. It may start pulling mebots into it.
